South Alabama women's softball opening at home against 10th ranked Alabama

The University of South Alabama softball is opening up at home next Thursday against tenth ranked Alabama. The jaguars already have a sold out crowd for the game.

South Alabama has never beaten Alabama. Right now they’re 0-13 against the Crimson Tide, hoping to break the streak Thursday.

Senior pitcher Devin Brown is a key player for the jaguars. Last year she recorded 21 completed games with 12 shutouts, which made her fourth-most in the NCAA. She also recorded 194 strikeouts.

South Alabama is also hoping to break a record in attendance for the game. All they need is to fill up the student section in the outfield.
