Jags set to name Campbell new head football coach

(Mobile)--According to multiple reports the university of South Alabama will hold a news conference tomorrow on campus to formally introduce Steve Campbell it's next head football coach. the 51 year old Campbell is a Troy graduate, playing on the Trojans 1987 Division II national championship team. He's been a head coach at Southwest Mississippi Community College, Delta State University and for the past four seasons at Central Arkansas. Campbell led Delta State to the Division II national championship and was named the national Coach of the Year. He's also led Central Arkansas into the FCS playoffs the past two seasons. Campbell's record at Central Arkansas is 33-15, 29-6 in the Southland Conference. Campbell succeeds Joey Jones, who resigned last month.
