Jags' men basketball win their 3rd straight

(Mobile)---South Alabama saw a 14-point second half lead dwindle down to one on two occasions late, but answered with a 10-1 run to pull away for a 70-62 win.

USA's Herb McGee scored a career-high 24 points -- 14 in the first half alone -- and Josh Ajayi added 20, with 16 in the second half.

The Jaguars finished the first half on a 21-3 run to lead 32-21 at the break. The Red Wolves went 5 for 7 from deep and scored 10 unanswered to pull within 57-56 and then 60-59, but USA answered each time. A-State did not make a field goal in the final 4:07 of the contest.

A-State's Ty Cockfield scored 13 of his 16 points after halftime.
