Alabama High school State Football Championships are set
Four teams from Coastal Alabama will be headed to Auburn next week with state title dreams.
In class 6A, the Saraland Spartans went on the road and knocked off last year's state runner-up Wetumpka Indians by a final score of 22-21. At one point the Spartans were down 21-8, but they rallied, scoring 14 unanswered to win. They will take on defending state champion Pinson Valley.
In 5A, the Vigor Wolfpack went on the road as well. They knocked off Greenville High School by a final score of 38-16. This is Vigor's sixth appearance in a state final game, and they will take on Central Clay High School.
In 4A, the number one team in the state took care of business at home. UMS- Wright defeated the Andalusia Bulldogs for the second year in a row, 24-3. All year long the defense has carried the team. They will take on Deshler.
In class 3A, the Flomaton Hurricanes came back to win 34-33 over Providence Christian. Flomaton blocked PCHS's game-winning field goal attempt as time ran out. The Hurricanes will take on Piedmont.
This year's state championship games will take place at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn next week. The games run through Dec 5-7.

4A-UMS Wright vs Deshler
5A-Vigor vs Central Clay
6A- Saraland vs Pinson Valley
