AFC Mobile wins road game against Lafayette

Mobile's minor league soccer team, AFC Mobile, won on the road Saturday night against Lafayette's Cajun Soccer Club, 3-1.

This marks AFC's first win of the season. AFC's Chisom Ogbonna scored all three points for the club, the first hat trick in the club's history.

"I feel like when we get all of our tack and talent on the field it's real hard to defend us," Coach Nate Nicholas said. "Last week we played a pretty good game and got exposed on a few things but even that was different from last year."

AFC bounced back from a tough 4-3 loss to Pensacola in their season opener.

"We're a team that could probably beat them later on." Nicholas said.

AFC will next face Port City FC in Gulfport, Miss. before heading back to Lipscomb Stadium June 2nd against Riverhawks FC. If you're intereted in making the roadtrip, visit their website
