'Litter Getter' Bags Now Available

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) We're talking trash and Tuesday the Mobile Baykeeper unveiled a new anti-littering campaign at Mobile City Council's meeting.

The first 1,000 new Litter Getter bags are now available for folks that want to do their part keeping Mobile beautiful. The mayor and city council members were each given bags Tuesday.

The hope is people will use them to pick up trash in the community.

"Don't walk past it. It's not going anywhere. You take responsibility and pick it up. These bags, use can use a grocery store bag you can use whatever but these bags make it a little more classy and fun and that's our goal to get people really in the habit and the spirit of picking up litter," said Cassie Callaway with Mobile Baykeeper.

If you like to get a Litter Getter, stop by the Mobile Baykeepers office to pick one up for free.
