Police say Washington state woman died after apparent strangling during sex
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. (KEPR)- Police say a Washington state woman found dead was apparently strangled during sex.
According to court documents, 53-year-old Alisa J. Brewer was found dead and naked Sunday with a leather belt tightened around her neck at William C. Lee's home in West Richland, Washington.
Police arrested Lee, 24, on suspicion of killing Brewer. He faces charges of second-degree murder and second-degree assault, with allegations of domestic violence.
Police and members of the Tri-City Regional SWAT team responded to the incident and found Lee still at the home, according to documents.
Police said he was threatening to kill himself after he killed a woman. Responding West Richland police officer Jared Paulsen said it sounded like he was loading a gun while on the phone to report what had happened.
Paulsen said he heard a gunshot from inside the home when police and the SWAT team arrived. Responders said Lee had fired a shot into the ceiling, and continued saying he was going to kill himself.
Lee then exited the home where officers handcuffed him and took him into custody.
He is set to appear in Superior Court Monday.
The Coroner's office has scheduled Brewer's autopsy Tuesday.
