Jiu-jitsu fighter takes down thief in Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WPMI) —
Abreu Campos has been practicing Jiu-jitsu since he was 12-years-old, but he never imagined using it to pin down a car burglar.
All this happened when his girlfriend went to walk their dog.
As soon as she opened the door to head outside her dog began barking startling her and the burglar.
Rachel says the guy seemed startled.
She says the burglar turned and walked away, but Rachel ran back inside her apartment to tell her boyfriend.
Abreu rushed out saw the guy and decided to follow him.
That's when he saw him successfully break into another car.
Rachel called the police while her boyfriend held down the burglar until police got there.
Abreu even removed a knife from the guy.
