Consumer Alert: Gas prices fall two cents per gallon for two weeks

A very slight slump at the pump shows gas prices turning in the right direction for drivers.

Prices are falling a half cent per gallon in the past two weeks.

The average price for regular grade, now $2.90, that's 28 cents higher than it was a year ago.

A decline the Lundberg survey says will continue, to another two to three cents per gallon, barring a rise in crude oil prices.

The drop is tied to a switch to "winter grade" gasoline, which is cheaper for refiners to produce.
