Youth programs in Mobile are giving kids positive opportunities
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
After school programs are making a difference in the lives of our local youth by keeping them off dangerous streets plagued with gun violence.
One of those programs, The Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama works to give kids the right opportunities.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Homicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for teenagers.
Nationally, 12 kids die daily from gun violence and thousands are injured.
The Boys and Girls club of South Alabama wants to change those numbers.
