BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) —
Two homes were struck by lightning this morning as storms moved through the Eastern Shore area between 9 and 10am.
Daphne firefighters with the assistance of the Fairhope Fire Department responde to a home on County Road 64 that was struck by lightning igniting a fire there.
Flames at the home located in the Belforest area was quickly put under control.
Neighbors said they heard a loud boom. No one was living at the home. Neighbors say the home was up for sale.
A second home in the Timbercreek subdivision on Hackberry Court was also struck by lightning. Firefighters responded but upon arrival there was no fire at the home.
