Tracking fog, record warmth, and then cooler conditions

It’s another foggy morning across the area.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for widespread visibility less than one mile during the morning commute.

Once the fog fades away, we’re on our way to record high territory. My forecast high of 78 degrees would tie the current record high from last year!

I won't be surprised if a few backyard thermometers hit 80 degrees this afternoon.

Our next weathermaker rolls through the region tonight. Expect a line of wind-driven showers between midnight and 6 am to produce .25” or less of rainfall.

A few claps of thunder are possible, but severe weather is not expected.

Friday will be significantly cooler, but not cold. In fact, highs near 60F and lows near 40F are only a few degrees below normal.

Warmer weather returns this weekend into next week.
