CODE RED until Noon: Lightning-packed storms with blinding downpours and gusty winds
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
We're tracking 2 weathermakers this week. Tuesday's weathermaker raked over Mobile County as we predicted around 9:30 this morning unleashing heavy downpours and gusty winds at t imes. it will continue to shift east and move out of our area as we head through early afternoon.
Lingering areas of light rain will gradually taper off by mid-afternoon. Temps are forecast to top out in the upper 60s during the morning, falling to the upper 50s by late afternoon.
Sunshine makes a comeback Wednesday with a seasonable high of 64 degrees.
Clouds move back into our area on Valentine's Day ( Thursday) as our second weathermaker moves in. Weathermaker #2 will impact our area on Friday with areas of rain and a few thunderstorms in the mix. Highs around 70 will fall off into the low 60s this weekend. There is a fair amount of uncertainty in my weekend forecast regarding the return of rain. Right now, I think it will hold off until Monday.
