Storm trackers drive into serious trouble in the minutes before Hurricane Michael landfall
PORT ST. JOE, Fla. (WPMI) —
A very tense live video from the storm transfixed audiences on social media Wednesday in the minutes before -and just as- the monster hurricane Michael made landfall.
LiveStorms Media storm trackers Brett Adair and Stephen Johnson were driving into the storm Wednesday.
They were traversing the city of Port St. Joe in the direct path of the storm.
Their car became nearly submerged in the storm surge and at one point it was floating.
They managed to scramble out of the car, and into a nearby home for safety. Their camera continued to broadcast until it was finally shut down by the elements
NBC 15 was contacted by the homeowner who watched the dramatic scene unfold on our Facebook page live.
According to his wife, Adair and Johnson are safe.
