Search for missing Escambia County Alabama woman continues
POLLARD, Ala. (WPMI) —
The search for a missing elderly woman in Escambia County Alabama continued today, however on a much smaller scale.
74-year-old Eva McBride has been missing since November 24th and today only a handful of family members and friends continued walking the woods near her home where she went missing.
It's a long time to be searching and the Escambia County Sheriff's office is taking a step back. The big question now is -- Is this an abduction? Is there a crime involved?
Crews have searched the thick woods around Flomaton, for the missing 74-year-old woman.
Family members say Eva McBride is gone without a trace- every single thing ,her purse, everything, just disappeared.
So far the Escambia County Alabama Sheriffs' office has assisted with the search as well as a lot of other agencies.
Miles of thick woods surround McBride's home making the search a difficult one.
Family members describe McBride as 5'4" with gray hair and brown eyes. They say she has a condition that could impair her judgment, however the family has no record of McBride suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's.
Investigators had no comment today leading some family members to believe this could be turning into much more than
just a search for a missing elderly person.
