SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla (WPMI) — New safety devices are coming to Santa Rosa county public schools.
King Middle School in Milton was the first in the district to have the new security system.
Visitors now must explain to staff why they're at the school, and show ID through a camera before they're allowed inside.
It costs between $5,000- $7,000 to install the technology in each school.
They hope to have it on every campus by the end of the year.
