Prichard woman shot and killed in domestic dispute

PRICHARD, Ala. (WPMI) — Prichard Police arrested a suspect after a woman was shot and killed in a domestic dispute on Friday, Dec. 1.

The Police Department received a call in reference of a shot being fired in the 200 block of N. Fairport Dr. where they found 39-year-old Cindy Darrington of Prichard, shot and declared deceased on the scene.

Neighbor, Nikita Wilkerson says that everyone who knew her knew she was sweet as can be.

“It’s shocking. Her out of all people because she’s so nice, the whole gulf village, we’re just blown. They all know she was so sweet”

Police arrested 27-year-old Cornelius Johnson of Prichard, and charged with 3 counts of domestic violence murder.

Darrington leaves behind three young children.
