2 men killed in plane crash near Foley

An aircraft has crashed in Foley according to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office (BSCO).

The crash occurred south of Highway 98 on County Road 65 near Craft Farms Road at Roy Waters Road.

BCSO confirms two men were killed in the crash.

BCSO says the plane was attempting to pick up a banner and became distressed at some point and then went down.

The pilot is identified as George Bancroft Marshall, 40, of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

The rear passenger is identified as Bradley John Lafleur, 34, of Orange Beach, Alabama.

The case is being investigated by the Baldwin County sheriffs office, Baldwin County corners office, federal Aviation Administration, and the National transportation safety Board.
