New school expected to bring increased traffic in Baldwin County
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) —
Baldwin County breaks ground on a new elementary school in the Belforest community.
With a new school will come some big changes to County Road 64 east of Daphne.
County officials are making plans for the increased traffic .
The widening of CR64 has been on the radar for months now.
The Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization has already approved $260,000 to research and design a round-about to move traffic in and out of subdivisions and with more homes and apartments coming and it'll be a major tax payer investment.
$2 million will be used for a round-about and $5.4 million to widen CR64.
Money that still hasn't been approved, but the hope is that the feds and the state will play a major part.
