Mobile man charged with arson for vehicle fire that damaged home
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
According to Mobile Fire-Rescue, pn January 8, 2019, Mobile Fire-Rescue Engine Company 14 (2032 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Ave) responded to 561 Crawford Lane for reports of a vehicle fire. Upon arriving on scene, company 14 confirmed that a Toyota Corolla stationed in the parking lot was fully-involved. At approximately 22:24 hours, a full response was dispatched to the scene, as fire was quickly spreading to a nearby apartment structure.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish all fires without any reported injuries. The family dwelling sustained moderate damage to the exterior of the structure, while the vehicle was reported as a total loss.
Fire Investigators determined that the vehicle fire was intentional in connection with a domestic dispute. Twenty three year-old Trayon Ladell Montgomery (08/01/1995) has been arrested and is currently in Metro Jail. Montgomery will be charged today with Criminal Mischief 1 & Arson 1.
