According to a newsletter from Director Shellie B. Teague, the Mobile Arts Council is moving out.

Teague explains,

After 13 long, exciting years at 318 Dauphin Street, Mobile Arts Council will soon be hosting community art exhibitions at a new location.
We're announcing today that, due to the significant increase in rent at our current location, we will be moving at the end of June. Our shows scheduled for July through December will hang at Room 1927 (located at 6 South Joachim Street), through a special arrangement with SMG, the management company in charge of the Saenger Theater [...] Our board is actively exploring locations downtown that will allow us to continue to serve you and support the arts in new and exciting ways. I'm confident and excited about the opportunity ahead of us.

The Mobile Arts Council continues to receive some funding from the city through a performance contract, along with several other nonprofits in the area including Alta Pointe, the Boys & Girls Club, and the Alabama Contemporary gallery.
