Mississippi teen being charged as an adult for 2017 murder

A Mississippi teen will be charged as an adult in the 2017 murder of a little boy

Dwan Wakefield was 17-years-old when 6-year-old Kingston Frazier was kidnapped.

Kingston was inside a car that was stolen from a grocery store in Jackson, Mississippi.

He was found the next day inside the car murdered.

The now 18-year-old Wakefield will be tried as an adult.

He's charged with accessory to murder, kidnapping, and car theft.

Another teen in the case is pleading guilty to accessory in exchange for his testimony.

A third man, Byron McBride who was 19 at the time, is charged with shooting and killing Kingston.

Attorneys say Wakefield said he told McBride to drop Kingston off somewhere but McBride said he was quote "going to off the kid."

Prosecutors are pushing for the death penalty.
