PRICHARD, Ala. (WPMI) — Today, Jesse Lane pled guilty to the Murder of Lumumba Green in 2016, according to the Mobile District Attorney's office.
Lane shot Green on Halloween night in 2016 and set a vehicle on fire that contained his body. Lane was sentenced to 20 years in a State Penitentiary.
Lane was released last year on a $200,000 bond, which investigators at the time said was very low for someone who's charged with murder.
Mobile County Sheriff’s Captain Paul Burch said Jesse Lane went on a crime spree after he was released on bond, breaking into several vehicles in Mobile County before he was eventually re-arrested.
