At 9 pm last night Teamsters Local 991 suspended picket line activities in order to review information the Company committed to provide to the Union on Monday, August 20, 2018.

They returned to work at 5 am. This will give our members the opportunity to serve the Company's customers in the manner and fashion they have been accustomed to over the years.

The parties remain in mediation regarding the new collective bargaining agreement.

Coca-Cola United issued the following statement:

Birmingham, AL (August 20, 2018) – Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED today issued the following updated statement regarding the bargaining negotiations with Teamsters Local 991:

“We were informed late Sunday evening by the Teamsters that our union associates would be returning to work on Monday (August 20), without a contract.

Our Coca-Cola UNITED team worked into the night and early morning hours to reactivate these associates.

Negotiations through the mediator continue, and it is our hope to come to an agreement with the Teamsters as soon as possible.

We will continue to provide our customers and communities with the highest levels of product delivery and service
