FOLEY, Ala. (WPMI) —
ALEA troopers released the following information about a crash that killed a 36-year-old woman Tuesday in Baldwin County:
At around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, Alabama State Troopers responded to a fatal, two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Baldwin 65 and Charolais Road near Foley.
Malik William Nicely, 23, of Lillian was traveling south on Baldwin 65 in a 2012 Honda Civic and attempting to turn left on Charolais Road when his vehicle was struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling north.
The Chevrolet was driven by Andrea Kristine Rayborn, 25, of Foley. Nicely and a five-year-old passenger were airlifted to hospitals in Florida while a third occupant, Jennifer Marie Younce, 36, of Gulf Shores was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rayborn was not injured, but a passenger in her vehicle, Elizabeth Clark, was transported to South Baldwin Medical Center.
Nothing further is available as troopers continue to investigate the crash.
The two-vehicle crash on Baldwin 65 and Charolais Road near Foley involves a pick-up truck and a passenger car.
There is one confirmed fatality and at least two others have been transported from the scene for treatment.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. and is an active scene at this time.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
