Mobile teacher charged with sexual contact with student to serve 6 months for assault
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
Nikki Patterson with the Mobile District Attorney's office confirms Christina Busby has pleaded guilty to an assault charge in court Thursday.
Busby faced two felony counts of a "school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19."
Back in August 2015, the mother of that student alerted the school claiming Busby had an inappropriate relationship with her son.
Busby will serve 6 months in jail and she has reported to Metro Jail. She will also serve 2 years of probation and relinquish her teaching certificate.
According to Patterson, several charges were consolidated into the assault charge, which is a misdemeanor.
