Davidson High School football coach Fred Riley put on administrative leave
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
Davidson High School's head football coach was placed on administrative leave Wednesday, Mobile County Public Schools officials tell NBC 15 News.
Riley has been under increasing pressure lately as lawsuits have been filed against him and the school after a series of alleged hazing videos spread across social media.
Several parents tried to get a warrant signed last Friday for Riley's arrest.
Cell phone footage shows Rodney Kim junior being beaten by his fellow teammates inside the football locker room.
We spoke with Rodney's mom, Mary Kim, last night after the new broke about coach Fred Riley's suspension who was calling this suspension a victory, but adds her work is not over.
Says she won't feel vindicated until coach Riley and his staff are held responsible.
An interim head coach has not yet been named.
When asked, Mobile County Public Schools said only,
Fred Riley has been placed on administrative leave. We do not comment on personnel matters.
