Fourth of July Dauphin Island festivities

If you are still looking for something to do this Fourth of July, Dauphin Island has a full day if events taking place. The Dauphin Island Veteran's Association always starts the holiday by remembering those who fought for our freedom.

On the fourth of July the veteran's will hold an event where they will reveal a brand new monument of a "fallen solider". This will take place at 11am on Monday. This year the event will take place at the town hall on Dauphine Island.

Dauphin Island will also but putting on a firework show at 9PM Monday night. While there will be fireworks the movie Jaws will be will be playing on the West end beach Sunday night beginning at dusk. Bring some blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a nice evening on the beach. There will be snack vendors and air conditioned bathrooms available.
