City opts to not cut down oaks in Bienville Square
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
Five oak trees in Mobile's Bienville Square will not be cut down.
Last month, an independent study suggested the city cut down 5 oaks, because they were safety concerns.
The city's arborist did his own study that found some trees showed decay.
They took action, and those decayed limbs were removed.
The city of Mobile now says the trees are fine.
