Police say the Alabama fan who shot an Auburn fan during an argument over which football team is better, isn't getting out of jail anytime soon.

28-year-old Rodney Alexander has a $15,000 bond. He can't get out of jail though because of a probation violation hold.

Authorities say Alexander, who is an Alabama fan, opened fire and shot an Auburn fan in the thigh earlier this week.

Alexander is charged with assault 2nd degree among other charges.

As luck would have it, Alexander went before Judge Bob Sherling in court.

The judge graduated from Auburn University and even had an Auburn cup on full display during the court proceedings.
