Jags eliminated from SBC basketball tournament

Coastal Carolina went on a 23-5 run to end the first half and shot a Sun Belt Conference Tournament-record 68.8 percent from 3-point land in an

80-67 win over South Alabama Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the SBC Tournament.

USA ends its season at 14-18.

USA senior Ken Williams, playing his last game, scored a game-high 18 points and led the Jags with four assists.

CCU converted 11 times in 16 attempts from distance. The 68.8 percent is also the most allowed by the Jaguars this season.

Senior Nick Stover had 11 points and senior Shaq Calhoun added 10.

The Chanticleers had 25 assists on 29 field goals.
