LOOK: Alabama QB Jalen Hurts cuts off signature dreads in bet with teammate
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WPMI) —
New national title, new look.
A day after the Crimson Tide's national championship parade in Tuscaloosa, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has cut his signature dreads after a bet with teammate Josh Jacobs.
"We won the natty so [Jalen Hurts], time for the big chop," Jacobs tweeted on Saturday.
A day later, Hurts made good on his promise -- posting proof to Twitter.
"The deal was if we won the natty, the locs had to come off," Hurts tweeted Sunday. " New look, same mission."
The Alabama Crimson Tide won their 17th national title earlier this month, marking the sixth for head coach Nick Saban -- fifth with the Tide.
What do you think of the quarterback's new 'do?
