High school football just around the corner in Baldwin County

High school football games kick off the season Friday, Aug. 25.

With the school just right around the corner, teachers and students will be hitting the hallways at schools all over Baldwin county. But athletes, they have been hitting the field for the past few weeks now.

The boys of summer turn into the boys of fall as football season kicks off this week. Many coaches around the area used practices and seven on sevens over the summer to help develop their players.

"So much about weight training and conditioning, it's about teaching schemes and teaching you know different plays and so it makes it kind of a hectic, but a fun hectic," Tim Carter, Fairhope football head coach said. "Our kids get to compete and it kind of shortens the summer."

After weeks of practice during the summer and first weeks of school coaches around the area keep it simple -- and that is to simply execute.

"Taking the field each and every Friday night, knowing that you have done everything you can on the front end and going out and just executing the things you have worked on throughout the week and just leaving it all out of the field." Tad Niblett Foley football head coach said.
