Justin Baker wins "Southern League Broadcaster of the Year"
MOBILE, AL - The Southern League and the Mobile BayBears Professional Baseball organization are proud to announce that Justin Baker is the recipient of the 2016 Southern League Broadcaster of the Year award.
"On behalf of the BayBears organization, I would like to congratulate Justin on this well deserved honor." said BayBears General Manager, Chris Morgan. "We are honored to have his talent recognized by the League."
Justin started his career with the BayBears in the 2012. He spent a season as the public address announcer and broadcast assistant before taking on the full duties of the man behind the microphone in 2014, where he has been for the past three seasons.
A product of Georgia Southern University, Baker began his career at his alma mater before making the transition to Minor League Baseball. Since joining the franchise in 2012, Justin has played a role in calling action for multiple playoff games including a Southern League Championship.
