Team Sheriff continues to aid Harvey victims
HOUSTON, Tx. (WPMI) —
Deputies with the Mobile County Sheriff's office are heading into their second week assisting those hit by Harvey.
Cpl. Bradley Crenshaw says it is a blessing to be able to serve.
"The reception we get is what has been amazing. The Thank you's , the hugs, the 'we couldn't have done it without you' That's what we are here for."
First responders on site in Houston say the original plan was to serve 500 meals for one week but their efforts have grown.
Crews are waking up at 4 A.M. working until midnight serving full boxes of warm, hearty meals to almost 700 first responders and people nearby in need of support.
