St. Luke's plan to install light poles is raising concerns

Residents in the neighborhood surrounding St. Luke's are addressing the city council to appeal the building to tall light poles and bleachers.

Most are concerned that a peaceful, quiet neighborhood will be filled with the sounds of touchdowns and screaming fans.

Last month the Mobile planning commission approved St. Luke's Episcopal School's request to add lights and bleachers to their on-campus football field off University Boulevard.

The move would allow the school's teams to play at home. Right now games are played at West Mobile Park.

For homeowners in both Regency Oaks and Zack Logan Estates their property lines back right up to the very spot future games would be played.
