Robbery 1st

On Thursday, November 9, 2017 at approximately 5:33 p.m. police responded to a robbery at the CVS located at 2550 Dauphin Street. An unknown male subject with a pistol seen in his pocket entered the business and demanded money.


Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 12:15 a.m. police responded to the 1900 block of Luckie Avenue in reference to shots fired. The victims stated they were sleeping in the rear bedroom and were awaken by multiple gunshots fired into their residence.


Homicide

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 8:45 a.m. police responded to the 5200 block of Cottage Hill Road in reference to a report of an elderly female deceased. The victim, 70-year-old Carol Croucher, was discovered inside the residence. Through investigation, it was discovered that the victim’s son caused her death. Joseph Wood, 47, was arrested.


Burglary 3rd

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 2:10 p.m. police responded to the 1200 block of Gorgas Street in reference to a residential burglary. Police were able to locate the suspect with the given description. Herbert Hosea, 44, was arrested.


Theft of Property 3rd

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 6 p.m. police responded to Ross, 1310 Tingle Circle. Store employee, 18-year-old Indya Patterson, was arrested for stealing money from the store.


Burglary 1st (Home Invasion)

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 6:30 p.m. police responded to Pelican Landing Apartments, 860 West Point Plaza Drive, in reference to a home invasion. The victim stated two unknown male subjects kicked in her front door and stole her 70-inch flat screen television. One of the subjects had a knife and ordered her to the back room where she and her kids jumped out the window.


Theft of Property 4th / Failure to Obey / Resisting Arrest

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 11 p.m. police responded to the Walmart located at 5245 Rangeline Road in reference to a store theft. Mark Sanders, 40, was arrested.


Burglary 1st

On Friday, November 10, 2017 at approximately 11 p.m. police responded to the 500 block of Rosswood Drive West in reference to a burglary. The victim stated a known male subject forced his way into her residence, brandished a handgun and made threats.


Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 at approximately 5:33 a.m. police responded to Dauphin and North Joachim Street. Hunter Schultz, 23, entered the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through it.


Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 at approximately 12 p.m. police responded to the 4700 block of Dawes Road. The victim stated she heard someone attempting to enter her residence early that morning and she found a window broken with a bullet hole.


Attempting to Elude Police / Reckless Endangerment / Tampering with Evidence

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 at approximately 12:32 p.m. officers were patrolling in the area of Theodore Dawes Road at Old Pascagoula Road when they noticed a Mitsubishi pickup truck with heavy front-end damage and no plate parked at the Dollar General. The day before a Mitsubishi pickup truck drove through the side of the business located at 6075 Old Pascagoula Road. Once the driver left the store officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop. Through investigation, Christopher Busby, 30, was identified as the driver and was located. As officers approached Busby, he chewed up an unknown white substance. Busby was arrested.


Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling

On Saturday, November 11, 2017 at approximately 11 p.m. police responded to the 2500 block of Morningside Drive in reference to shots fired. The victim stated an unknown person(s) fired several shots into her home from the street.


Receiving Stolen Property 1st / Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at approximately 12:01 a.m. police responded to the 4200 block of Old Pascagoula Road. Brandon Dawson, 27, and Charles Wilkins, 30, were arrested. The vehicle they were in had a switched tag and a back pack containing crystal meth and crack rocks.


Felony Warrant Arrest (Burglary 3rd)

On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at approximately 3:25 a.m. police responded to the 600 block of Wesley Lane in reference to a report of erratic behavior. Akheim King, 21, was taken to the hospital for treatment and then to Metro Jail for warrants.


Domestic Violence 3rd

On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at approximately 11:50 a.m. police responded to the 1000 block of Baltimore Street in reference to a domestic complaint. The victim stated that family members shoved him into a wall and stuck him. Cynthia Sewell, 40, was arrested.
