Local schools comes together to help after St. Vincent fire
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
Five schools in the Mobile Archdiocese are lending a helping hand after Saturday's tragic fire.
The Archdiocese reached out to have schools donate school supplies to help the students and staff at St. Vincent de Paul finish the remainder of the semester.
Corpus Christi Catholic School is one of the five schools donating supplies like construction paper, crayons, and scissors.
Corpus Christi students are also making cards for those at St. Vincent and holding a hot chocolate and brownie sale to help give a monetary donation as well.
"I think just bringing our community together, it not only brings comfort to St. Vincent but it also lets our students fee l like they are giving back. And so maybe those children who think about they other children at St. Vincent also comforts them to be able to do something extra."
Corpus Christi is also accepting cards from the school's community members and will include them with the ones that our students make.
School officials feel free to drop off cards in the school office.
