Jeep crashes into ER at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola
Pensacola, Fla., (WEAR) —
The Pensacola Police Department is investigating after a Jeep crashed into the Emergency Room at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola around 1:00 A.M. Thursday.
Officer Mike Wood says it started as a domestic violence incident in Cantonment.
Wood says there was a struggle after the crash as hospital staff and at least one other person worked to detain the driver until PPD arrived on scene.
The driver is being identified as 25-year-old Kevin Pryor. Pryor did suffer injuries and is being treated at the ER. He will face charges after he is released.
There was a woman in the Jeep as well, with injuries reported. Her name has not been released.
PPD says the ER is operating normally, but the front entrance has been closed.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the domestic violence incident.
