Family, friends mourn the loss of Mobile teen
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) —
A Mobile teenage, once called a "walking miracle" has passed away.
In 2005 NBC 15 sat down with Cynthia Pittman about her battle with stage four congestive heart failure.
Pittman had surgery to install two portable pumps to help her heart continue beating, she was then placed on the heart transplant list.
At 17, Pittman was the youngest person to ever receive the pumps and leave the hospital.
After graduating from Blount High School in 2015, Pittman went on to Bishop State where she continued to wait for a new heart that never came.
Services will be held Friday Nov. 24 at Smalls Mortuary on Broad St.
The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 25 at 10 A.M. at Mt. Hebron Church on Berkeley Ave.
