Alabama's 'Grandparent Visitation Law' goes into effect August 1
ALABAMA (WPMI) —
Alabama's new 'Grandparent Visitation Law' goes into effect August 1. It allows some grandparents to have visitation with their grandchildren who've been removed from a parent's care.
Under the law, a grandparent must provide convincing evidence he or she has had a significant, ongoing relationship with the grandchild and that visitation would be in the child's best interest.
