23-year-old Semmes woman killed in 3-vehicle Daphne crash
DAPHNE, Ala. (WPMI) —
According to Alabama State Troopers, a three-vehicle crash at 9:45 p.m., April 14, 2018 has claimed one life and injured another.
Angel Janea Nicole Warner, 23, of Semmes, Alabama was a passenger in a 2005 Ford driven by Terrance Waters of Mobile.
The 2005 Ford struck the bridge on Interstate 10 westbound at the 29.5 mile marker, about 5.5 miles west of Daphne, Alabama and came to rest in the roadway.
Warner was injured and later died when shortly afterwards a 2013 Toyota driven by Jack A. Monte of Daphne, Alabama struck the 2005 Ford while disabled in the roadway. Warner was using a seatbelt.
Monte was injured and transported to USA Medical Center for treatment.
A 2000 Peterbuilt truck, driven by Juan Garcia of Sarasota, Florida struck the side of the 2013 Toyota as it came to rest in the road.
Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated, heavy rain at the time of the crashes may be a contributing factor.
Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
